Is it free to post what I need?
Yes. Creating an account and a profile is free, and replying to a teacher who messages you is always free.
How do teachers find me?
When you save your profile, teachers who teach what you want and speak your language get an alert. They open your profile and message you.
Can I also choose a teacher myself?
Yes. Browse the teachers and message the ones you like. Sending the first message to a teacher uses one credit, and if the teacher does not reply within 48 hours the credit comes back automatically.
Will teachers see my phone number or my child’s name?
No. Profiles show only the country code and first two digits of your number, and never a child’s name - only who is learning, their age and level.
How much do lessons cost?
Each teacher sets their own fee. You agree the fee, the timings and a trial lesson directly with the teacher you choose. Maktab-Quran.com takes no commission on lessons.
Can I ask for a female teacher?
Yes. Many female teachers teach children and sisters. You can also filter the teacher list by female or male teacher.
