Yes. We offer Noorani Qaida for absolute beginners and dedicated, patient one-to-one Quran classes for kids, as well as Tajweed, Hifz, Tafsir and Quranic Arabic for older students and adults.
Every teacher has a public profile listing their experience, languages and specialties such as Tajweed, Hifz, Qaida and Tafsir, and our team reviews that profile before it goes live. Teachers can also have their identity and teaching documents checked, and a teacher who holds an ijazah can upload the certificate for our team to check — those who pass carry a badge on their card. In three layers. Our team reviews every teacher’s profile before it appears publicly; a teacher can send us identity and teaching documents for us to check; and a teacher who holds an ijazah can upload the certificate, which our team opens and checks before “Ijazah certified” is shown. No. Maktab Quran gives equal opportunity to ijazah-certified and non-ijazah teachers. An ijazah is a real qualification and we are glad to display a verified one, but it is not a condition of teaching here and never has been. Many of our teachers are working towards one, and many excellent teachers of children and beginners never will. Teachers whose certificate we have checked are marked on their card, so you can choose either way with the facts in front of you.
Our teachers speak a range of languages including English, Urdu, Arabic and more. Each teacher lists their languages on their profile so you can find one who matches yours.
Yes. The teacher directory has male and female filters built from each teacher’s own declared gender, and we also list female teachers and male teachers on pages of their own. Every lesson is private one-to-one, so a sister is taught by a sister with nobody else in the room.
Yes — tell us the country or language you would prefer and our office matches you with a suitable teacher. Our teachers teach from more than twenty countries, and you can browse the directory by country to see who teaches. The country mainly decides your teacher’s working hours and the languages they speak; lessons are always scheduled in your time zone.
