The honest answer is that your teacher will tell you in the free trial, because the right starting point
depends on what you can already do rather than on your age. But as a guide:
Starting in the wrong place is the most common reason people stall. A teacher hearing you read for ten
minutes will place you more accurately than any self-assessment.
You can, and many students do — commonly Tajweed alongside Hifz, since the two reinforce each other. What
we would not recommend is beginning two courses at once as a complete beginner. Build reading first; add a
second track when the first is steady.
