Learning the Quran in Chandrapur
Chandrapur is coal and forest country — collieries, a large thermal power station and the Tadoba–Andhari tiger reserve. Its Muslim community, about 92,000 people at the 2011 Census or roughly four residents in a hundred, lives mainly in Chandrapur city, Ballarpur, Warora, Rajura, Bhadravati and Bramhapuri.
Many families work in the mines, the power plants and the paper and cement industries, often on shifts, and the district's fifteen talukas are spread wide. Regular evening classes are hard to keep up when a parent's hours change every week.
Online one-to-one lessons can move with the shift, and the teacher stays the same. For families in the smaller talukas, they also mean a qualified teacher who would otherwise be hours away.
Which talukas of Chandrapur do you cover?
All of them. Lessons are online, so a family in any of Chandrapur district's 15 talukas — Chandrapur, Saoli, Mul, Ballarpur, Pombhurna, Gondpimpri, Warora, Chimur, Bhadravati, Bramhapuri, Nagbhid, Sindewahi, Rajura, Korpana and Jiwati — gets the same teachers, the same courses and the same class times, in town or village.
| Taluka | What to know |
|---|---|
| Chandrapur | District headquarters. |
| Ballarpur | Industrial town south of Chandrapur. |
| Warora | Northern town. |
| Bhadravati | Industrial town. |
| Bramhapuri | Eastern taluka. |
| Rajura | Southern taluka towards Telangana. |
How do online classes work for Chandrapur families?
The teacher and student meet on a synchronized Quran screen: both see the same page, and the word being recited is highlighted on both screens, so the teacher hears and corrects every letter. Lessons are thirty minutes, five days a week, at a time agreed with you. You contact us, the student takes a free trial, and our office assigns the teacher — you tell us any preference and we match it.
Which language will the teacher speak?
Our teachers teach in Urdu, Hindi or English. We do not currently have Marathi-speaking teachers, and we would rather say so plainly. In practice, most children in Chandrapur — whether they study in Urdu-, Marathi- or English-medium schools — follow simple Hindi or Urdu without difficulty. The Quran itself is taught in Arabic, letter by letter, with Tajweed.
What can a student in Chandrapur learn?
Beginners start with the Noorani Qaida — letters, sounds and joins — and move on to reading the Quran directly. From there: Tajweed for correct pronunciation, a structured Hifz course built on the sabaq, sabqi and manzil cycle, Tafsir for understanding, and Quranic Arabic. See every course on the courses page.
Are there female teachers for women and girls?
Yes — most of our teachers are women. Mothers and daughters in Chandrapur can ask for a female teacher and learn at home, with no travel and no mixed setting. Many mothers take a quiet daytime slot for themselves while the children are at school. See our Quran classes for women.
₹1,000 or ₹5,000 a month
The circle is ₹1,000 a month: five 30-minute classes a week, up to ten students, fixed timings. One-to-one is ₹5,000 a month: the same five classes, just your child and the teacher, at times that can move. Everything else — the synchronized Quran screen, Tajweed colours, the parent dashboard — is the same. Full details on pricing; the first lesson is a free trial.
Do we still need the masjid class?
That is your choice, and many Chandrapur families keep both. The masjid maktab gives a child friends, community and the feel of learning together. The online class gives steady, individual correction at a time that suits the family. If you are looking for a class near you first, our guide to finding a maktab near you explains where to ask.
