Learning the Quran in Wardha
Wardha, best known for Mahatma Gandhi's Sevagram ashram, has a small Muslim community — about 54,000 people at the 2011 Census, around four residents in a hundred — living mainly in Wardha town, Hinganghat, Arvi and the smaller towns of Deoli, Seloo, Ashti, Karanja and Samudrapur.
A small community means small classes, if there is a class at all. Parents often teach the Qaida at home themselves, and a child ready for Tajweed or Hifz may have no one nearby who can take them further.
Online lessons give that child a teacher matched to their level, five days a week, at home. The office handles the matching, and a free trial comes first.
Which talukas of Wardha do you cover?
All of them. Lessons are online, so a family in any of Wardha district's 8 talukas — Wardha, Deoli, Seloo, Arvi, Ashti, Karanja, Hinganghat and Samudrapur — gets the same teachers, the same courses and the same class times, in town or village.
| Taluka | What to know |
|---|---|
| Wardha | District headquarters; Sevagram is nearby. |
| Deoli | Taluka south of Wardha. |
| Arvi | Northern taluka. |
| Hinganghat | Largest town after Wardha. |
From first message to first lesson in Wardha
Starting takes three steps and usually a day or two. First, email us at info@maktab-quran.com or create a student account. Second, the student takes a free live trial lesson from home in Wardha. Third, our office confirms the teacher — matched to the student's level and any preference you give us — and agrees the daily time. There are no registration fees and nothing to install.
Can the lessons be in Urdu?
Yes. Urdu is one of the most common teaching languages among our teachers, alongside Hindi, English and Arabic. For families in Wardha who speak Urdu or Dakhni at home, an Urdu-speaking teacher is usually the natural choice; ask for one and we match you. We are honest about one gap: we do not yet have teachers who teach in Marathi.
Courses from first letters to Hifz
A child who has never read Arabic begins with the Noorani Qaida. A child who reads but makes mistakes moves into Tajweed classes. A child ready to memorise starts the Hifz course, with a new portion each day and regular revision. Adults in Wardha can take any of these, or Tafsir and Quranic Arabic. The teacher sets the level at the free trial.
Are there female teachers for women and girls?
Yes — most of our teachers are women. Mothers and daughters in Wardha can ask for a female teacher and learn at home, with no travel and no mixed setting. Many mothers take a quiet daytime slot for themselves while the children are at school. See our Quran classes for women.
How much do online Quran classes cost in Wardha?
Two plans, each with five live 30-minute classes a week: the maktab circle, a small class of never more than ten students, at ₹1,000 a month — about ₹50 a class — and one-to-one with your own teacher at ₹5,000 a month. No registration fee, cancel any month, free trial first. Details on the pricing page.
Is online as good as a class in person?
For recitation and Tajweed, a one-to-one online lesson is usually more thorough than a crowded class, because the teacher hears the student for the whole lesson and corrects each mistake straight away. What it cannot give is the community of a local maktab. In Wardha, where many families live far from a structured class, online is often the only daily option. Read what a maktab is.
